My Story

In 2023, my life was irreversibly altered by the loss of my father to cancer. This devastating experience was not merely a personal tragedy; it served as a pivotal moment that reshaped my understanding of health and purpose. Watching a loved one endure such immense suffering underscored the fragility of life and the importance of making choices that promote well-being. This heartbreaking event triggered an introspective journey, forcing me to confront my own lifestyle habits and their implications for my health.

The grief I experienced became intertwined with a newfound determination to honour my father’s memory. I realised that in his absence, I had the opportunity to cultivate a healthier, more fulfilling life. The immediate consequences of this realisation included a dramatic shift in my mindset regarding food and wellness. Where I once indulged in ultra-processed snacks, including my particular weakness for chocolates, I began to seek out healthier alternatives. This transformation was not easy, as cravings for familiar comforts often felt overwhelming. However, the motivation to lead a healthier life became a guiding force.


As I embarked on this journey towards healthier living, the changes in my daily habits were both profound and gradual. I began to educate myself about nutrition, opting for whole foods and meals rich in essential nutrients. In addition to my role as a physiotherapist, I found a profound passion for pilates, which allowed me to deepen my commitment to promoting wellness through movement. Pilates emphasises core strength, flexibility, and mind-body awareness, and these principles align closely with my beliefs about overall health. As a pilates instructor, I have had the opportunity to lead classes that not only enhance physical fitness but also encourage a holistic approach to health, one that encompasses mental and emotional well-being.
